Events

This page is the planning place for the GTK+ event handling overhaul. The goals are:

• Support touch and gestures in GTK
• Cooperative event handling with parent widgets, in particular for kinetic scrolling
• Simplify event handling inside existing widgets
• Make it easy to do complex event handling in widgets
• Define common interaction patterns
• Be as backwards-compatible as possible
