  • Use package kit to install system versions of build dependencies where possible. This should be configurable in someway, as some people want to use -stable, -unstable or even -trunk versions of things.

  • Potentially invasive, so to get the ball rolling will implement a PackageKitModule and a packagekit.moduleset that overrides selected libraries (mostly the external ones) provided by the core modulesets. It will be enabled simply by referencing the packagekit.moduleset in your .jhbuildrc.
