1.2. Description
The IM, Contacts, Social hackfest is a gathering of people working on IM/contacts oriented applications and frameworks.
1.2.1. Agenda, goals
- Improve the existing chat integration in gnome-shell
- Design and plan how we could improve the IM integration into the shell (calls, file transfers, invitations, presence, etc).
- Design and plan the integration of contacts into the Shell overview
- Design and plan the new Contact application
- Design and plan the web accounts pane (IM accounts, social services, single sign one)
- Discussion the need and design of a 'conversation' centric application
DanielleMadeley: Design a reusable contact chooser for applications (aka telepathy-gtk, folks-gtk, or whatever)

1.2.2. Measuring your success
One of the main goal of this hackfest is to allow people from different teams to met. So at the end of the hackfest each one should have a better understanding of the different technologies involved.
We'll have a list of action points for 3.2, each one having someone in charge of its success and a list of people who are going to contribute to it.

1.2.4. Costs
This only cover the costs which have to be covered by the foundation as sponsoring (ie. not the costs directly paied by people's company)
- Morten's trip: ~ 250€
- Room for Morten and another (shared): £62.95 * 5 = £ 314.75

1.3. How to get there
- Plane (Heathrow, Stansted, Gatwick) + train to Cambridge. Stansted is by far the easiest one as it's only 30 minutes from Cambridge.
- Eurostar (London) + train to Cambridge
