Pre-meeting Planning
It is unclear at this stage whether the object of the meeting is discuss the mission with a view to formalising it (i.e the goal is to produce action), or whether it will be a brainstorming session (i.e. the goal is to generate ideas).
The original impetus for the meeting is described in this message and follow-ups.
Agenda
One view is that the purpose should be to work on coming up with goals and assigning individuals together to spear head each goal.
Another is that we should talk about trademarks and our team's use of it. Do we have explicit use of the GNOME trademark under a set of rules? For example, if I'm in merchandising it should be okay for me to create a t-shirt design with the GNOME logo.
Let's not have a huge discussion about this. The simplest and most useful answer is that we should approach trademark issues on a case by case basis. No policy will cover the entire range of uses that a marketing team may come up with, so rather than have hours-long discussions about it, let's wait and see how the activities of the marketing team interact with the trademark policy. -- JeffWaugh
