Soylent needs a logo, and I hope one of you talented artists can help us out (and save the world from my artistic floundering)!

Here are a few concepts I would like the logo to convey:

This logo will also be used as the program icon, so it will need to look good at relatively small sizes (eg, 32x32, 48x48 - it's OK if the 16x16 needs to be significantly different than the standard logo, so long as it's easy to tell they're related).

I can imagine it will be hard to convey "party" - maybe two smiley faces, wearing different party hats?

I've discussed logo ideas with AndreasNilsson before. One idea we came up with was a simple 2x2 grid with different emoticon icons and different colors in each box. I think that could look pretty good, though the more I think about it, the more I think it would be hard to scale down for the smaller icons. So I'm completely open to ideas.

Thanks for any help on this!

Perhaps it could be the proposed idea, with the smaller-sized icon being a single emoticon and a colored grid as a background? -- LouisHandfield
