GNOME is a good choice for schools:
- cheaper than a Windows environment and its licenses
- pupils have many programming tools in the installation by default
- teachers can more easily administer many desktops via GNOME.
- pupils get in touch with free software early. That helps them get programming skills and learn to communicate in teams.
